Terms of Service — EduCore
Last updated: June 2026
1. Scope of Services
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of EduCore, a cloud-based educational institute ERP system developed and maintained by Innov8alpha ("Company", "we", "us"). By subscribing to any EduCore license (Starter, Institute, or Campus), you ("Client", "Institute") agree to these Terms in addition to our General Terms of Service.
EduCore provides: fee management and receipts, attendance tracking, test management and report cards, WhatsApp parent communication, faculty payroll modules, multi-batch and multi-branch management, and transport module.
2. Course & Content Hosting
EduCore hosts institute data including student records, fee structures, attendance logs, test scores, and administrative documents on secure cloud infrastructure (AWS India region).
Storage allocations per tier:
- Starter: Up to 5 GB of document and media storage
- Institute: Up to 25 GB of document and media storage
- Campus: Up to 100 GB of document and media storage (expandable upon request)
Additional storage beyond the tier allocation is available at a supplementary monthly fee. Large file uploads (video content, multimedia course materials) exceeding 500 MB per file require prior arrangement with the Innov8alpha support team.
3. Bandwidth & Performance
EduCore is optimized for concurrent usage by institutes of the scale defined per tier (up to 100 students for Starter, up to 1,000 for Institute, unlimited for Campus).
Innov8alpha allocates server resources proportional to the subscribed tier. Sustained usage significantly exceeding the tier's student capacity may result in performance degradation. In such cases, Innov8alpha will notify the Client and recommend an upgrade.
API rate limits apply to integrations: 1,000 requests/hour for Starter, 5,000/hour for Institute, and 20,000/hour for Campus. Custom API access is available for Campus tier clients.
4. Content Ownership
All educational content, course materials, test papers, assessment frameworks, and institutional documents uploaded to EduCore by the Institute remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Institute.
Innov8alpha does not claim any rights to, review, modify, or monetize Institute content. Innov8alpha accesses Institute data only for:
- System maintenance and technical support (when authorized)
- Service improvement using de-identified, aggregated usage metrics
- Legal compliance when required by applicable law or court order
The Institute is solely responsible for ensuring that all uploaded content complies with copyright laws, NEP guidelines, and applicable educational regulations.
5. Student Data Privacy
EduCore processes student personal data including names, contact details, academic records, attendance, and fee information. The Institute acts as the data controller; Innov8alpha acts as the data processor.
Innov8alpha implements the following safeguards for student data:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
- Role-based access controls restricting data visibility by staff role
- Daily encrypted backups with 30-day retention
- No third-party data sharing without Institute authorization
- Indian-based cloud infrastructure (AWS Mumbai) with daily backups
The Institute is responsible for obtaining parental consent for student data processing as required by applicable regulations. Innov8alpha provides template consent forms upon request.
6. Parent Communication & WhatsApp
EduCore includes native WhatsApp integration for parent communication (fee reminders, attendance alerts, test scores). The Institute acknowledges:
- WhatsApp message delivery depends on WhatsApp Business API availability and recipient device connectivity
- Message template approvals are subject to WhatsApp's (Meta's) review and approval process
- WhatsApp API usage costs may apply and are the Institute's responsibility
- Innov8alpha is not liable for undelivered messages due to WhatsApp platform issues
7. NEP Compliance
EduCore supports NEP compliant report card formats and grading systems. Innov8alpha updates these formats as regulatory guidelines evolve. However, the Institute is solely responsible for ensuring that their academic processes and reporting comply with applicable education board requirements.
8. Payment & Subscription
EduCore subscriptions are billed monthly.
A 14-day free trial with full feature access is provided. No credit card is required for the trial. Post-trial, the Institute must subscribe to continue using the service.
Cancel anytime with 7 days notice before the next billing cycle. All student data is exportable upon cancellation. Innov8alpha assists with data transition to the Institute's new system.
9. Service Availability
EduCore targets 99.5% uptime. Scheduled maintenance is performed during non-academic hours (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM IST) with 48 hours advance notice.
